Family Guidance
The greatest reward in this work is the ability to support others—to serve as a steady lifeline in those sticky moments of family life when you can sense something isn’t quite right, yet don’t know where to begin. Early childhood is a whirlwind; our attention is pulled in countless directions from morning to night. Some days it feels like an accomplishment just to reach bedtime intact, let alone pause to reflect on what kind of support might make life feel lighter.
After years of partnering with families as a pediatric OT, I began to see the need for a broader, more holistic form of support. Yes, a child’s traditional OT needs deserve thoughtful attention. But just as often, challenges such as parental overwhelm, inconsistent routines, environmental setup, or sleep disruptions are quietly undermining the entire family system. As a Family Guide, I work alongside you to uncover your primary barriers to daily function, develop a plan of care that addresses them, and support you as you put that plan into action—adjusting along the way as life evolves. And when a need falls outside my scope, I draw from a wide network of trusted providers to connect you with the right resources.
