Early Intervention and Pediatric OT

A child's primary occupation is play — and pediatric OT leans into that fully. Through play-based activities, I help children build age-appropriate skills across motor, sensory, and developmental domains. Working alongside parents and caregivers, I identify challenges early and craft family-centered treatment plans tailored to each child's unique interests and abilities. For infants and babies (ages 0–3), this might look like positioning support, feeding guidance, intentional toy selection, and sensory processing education. For toddlers and school-agers, it could mean obstacle courses that challenge motor planning, coordination, and sequencing — or tabletop activities that build fine motor skills and postural stability. No approach is too playful if it genuinely engages a child and moves them toward greater functional independence. Few things bring me more joy than the connections I get to share with the kids and families I have the privilege of serving.

How I Can Help?

  • Play-based interventions across all developmental skill areas.

  • Family-centered treatment plans tailored to your child's unique interests and abilities

  • Support for infants through elementary aged kids.

  • Assessment/interventions for motor delay, torticollis, fussy/picky eaters, hypotonia, sensory integration disorder and more.

We couldn't recommend Lisa more highly. When we first began working with her we had been to other occupational therapists who said our son was fine and didn't really need services, but we felt differently. We explained to Lisa some delays we were seeing and within minutes she really heard us and had ideas that we felt were exactly aligned with our son and our goals for him. Lisa is highly empathetic, caring, intelligent, analytical, hilarious and genuinely wants to help each child grow and develop into their best selves.  Ben's "graduation" ceremony where he showed off all the skills he developed while working with Lisa was a powerful, beautiful, and unforgettable experience (for Ben and us!). Lisa truly is a special person we are forever grateful for.

When my son was 5 years old, our family was referred to Lisa for occupational therapy for food anxiety. He was underweight and got sick often because he was such a picky eater we could barely get any nutrition into him. He is now 13 and we still think about Lisa and how she has changed everything for our family. Our son is thriving and, though he eats most things these days, he continues to try new foods like every type of nigiri on a sushi combo platter.

Our time with Lisa covered information to help us ease our stress. She taught us the science and psychology on what happens as children eat so we can better understand our son. The two of them played with foods to get him to tolerate smells and textures without any pressure to eat anything and eventually, he was able to not only tolerate things like tomato sauce and yogurt, but to also try them. His favorite food for the past few years has been lasagna and we still are in awe of the work we did with Lisa and how far our son has come!

Lisa is incredibly kind and fun. Our son loved his time with her which enabled him to do “hard things.” For us, as parents, her support always helped soothe our fears. We can’t recommend Lisa enough!
